How do you decide that loving something/someone is too much ?? Or more like , how do you decide how much is too much ?? I think , the answer is pretty clear .. Too much is when you've reached a point of obsession , a point of no return .. A point where loving someone seems to be the only thing that is keeping you alive ... A point where you believe that you've been possessed by that person ....



When was the last time you read a book and had a experience so surreal , that you managed to lose a part of you somewhere between those pages .. An experience so damn heart breaking that you started seeing things in shades of , not black or white , but grey . An experience so hypnotic , that the lines between imagination and reality blurred so easily that you had to keep asking yourself , ' WHAT THE HECK AM I READING ?!!! ' An experience that is bound to pull you deep and drown you in it ...



Ella Frank's Blind Obsession is one such book , that leaves you mesmerized .. That leaves you breathless , restless and urges you to ask yourself .. ' WHATS NEXT ?!! '

Honestly , I was really excited to read this .. The conceptualization , the book trailer , the idea , the book cover , everything about this had me waiting , keeping me on my toes , anticipating it ... And now that I have read it , and that it has left me completely numb & dumb and gave me a sleepless night , it's safe to say that Blind Obsession had made it to my list of absolute fav and a must-read of 2013 !!!



THE STORY :

Gemma Harris is a journalist invited to Chateau Tibideau , home to the man titled as a beautiful monster .. She is to interview him on a tragedy that changed him and his perception of the world . A tragedy so dauntingly bad , it killed the passionate man in him , leaving him a hollowed shell of a man Phillipe Tibideau used to be .. A tragedy that involved the love passion of his life , Chantel Rosenberg .

THE CHARACTERS :

Gemma Harris : A journalist by profession , she comes to the Chateau in hopes of finding out everything about the man who supposedly tainted an angel and made her cry . Gemma is a professional , but meeting Phillipe changes a lot in her .. Her involvement with Chantel and Phillipe's life turns her life into a roller coaster ride , where she is constantly fighting the high's and lows ...

Chantel Rosenberg : The character mostly represented as She or her was the woman who had set Phillipe's artistic world in motion . She was his inspiration , his beauty .. and ultimately , his fall ...

She also is a famous musician .. Her passion ... Her diva ...



Phillipe Tibideau : The man who made the angel weep .. The man took something pure and sacred and turned into a object of sin .. A man with two sides . One , seen through Chantel's journal - sweet , loving , possessive , passionate and sinfully sexy . And the one seen through Gemma's eyes , still sinfully sexy , but now moody , bossy , confused , guilt ridden , full of hatred for the world , with a bad temper and somewhat sinister !



MY THOUGHTS :

You already know what my last reaction to this book was , so lets just leave it to that for now ! Blind Obsession is not just high on emotions because it makes you questions what you are reading . But also high on steam and lust ! The sex in this book is scorchingly hot ! ( Is that even a word ?? ) Phillipe really knows how to get what he wants . And damn he dirty talks as well !! His feelings for Gemma were so confusing , that at times I just wanted to slap some sense into him ..

“Do you always think about her?” Gemma asks, tearing him from his illusion.
“Yes,” he replies stoically. Gemma falls silent as her fingers stroke along his ribs and chest.
“Do you ever stop?” Phillipe squeezes his eyes shut, feeling his own deception mocking him.
“I stopped when I was inside of you.”



“I’m going to fuck you in a minute, Gemma, and it’s going to be hard.” He punctuates his sentence with another rough stroke. “If you don’t want that, then shut those sexy thighs and get the fuck out of here.”



All the hot and sizzle were just burning up the pages .... FOR REALZ !!!



But then , truth be told ! This book is just not about all the hot panties melting sex .. Its soo much more . Ella Frank manages to twist your emotions in a gut wrenching way . You know you don't want to like any of it . You know you don't want to understand any of it , and you sure as hell don't want it to happen . But her words and the way she has used it to mould this story will force to you like it , understand it and accept it !

There were certain things that made me go , " Dude ,what the .... ??? " But I'm not getting into details with that one . The ending , again , tore me up completely . But I guess its not actually an ending . Its more like saying , ' anything can happen ... ' . Atleast that's how I see it ..

So what are you waiting for ?? Pick this book ASAP and read it . This one gets a 5 star from me just because I was stuck in my whirlwind of emotions . Blind Obsession is painstakingly haunting and beautifully crafted . It manages to fuck you in the head and leaves you satisfied in some morbid way that I have no answers to ... A must read for sure ..
