Wow !! Talk about a life changing experience !!!! H.D Gordon is just amazing , so amazing that she could easily be termed a master story teller . Double wow to the world that she has created consisting of vampires , demons and other worldly creatures .
I loved the cover of this book . It keeps up with the central theme/character of the book . I believe thats Alexa on the cover projecting exactly what she is - A sun warrior , one of her kind and really strong . Loved it .
Blood Warrior is the story of Alexa , a teenager who lives with her mom and her sister Nelly . Alexia mom's treats her in a rather weird way compared to Nelly . And she believes she has a reason to do so . And trust me , when you read the book and see what awaits Nelly and Alexa on their journey to keep each other safe , the mom's weird behaviour is kinda justified . Soooo , oh dear where was i , oh yeah so Alexia and Nelly to teens living with their mom , but then things start to go a bit into an disarray when their house is attacked and Alexa and Nelly are forced to run away from there in order to protect themselves . This is where they are plunged into a ... hmm you can say another dimension or world and also where Alexa fnds out the truth about herself . From here on the book is a rollercoaster ride as we get to know more about this dimension , the people/creatures who exist here and Alexa'a power . Let me tell you this , the book will just blow your mind away . Wow Wow and another wow !!
I really loved Alexa character , headstrong and really determined she doesnt trust anyone or everyone easily . She is'nt the typical fall-in-love-head-over-your-heals kinda girl either . The book has two other important or should i say swoon worthy eye candy characters , Jackson and Kayden . Both these hotties probable love interest of Alexa in this story . So the question has to be asked - Team Kayden or Team Jackson ?? Well for me i still decide sooo ... we'll just drop it at that . The book is packed with action , adventure , drama , humour and romance .
On the whole a very very exciting read . I'm definitely looking forward to reading the sequel , because the way things ended in this one were a lot harder for me to digest . I WANT TO KNOW MORE !!! Grab a copy of this one , its definitely an exciting read !
