Honest confession #1 : This book was sooo not what i thought it would be!
Honest confession #2 : I will definitely read the second book in this series because the sneak peak at the end of book one was just amazing !!
Wow , wow and i mean wow ! This book is so different from anything i've read before . At a time where we mostly read about vampire's , werewolves and fairies , this one sure came across as an exciting change and a wonderful surprise . Lets take a look at the good points in this book .

The cover : Okay another confession , i absoltuely loved this cover . Well the colors to be more precise . I love the hues of purple and black . The tattoo covering the back also look exquisite , but they are of grave importance to those who wear them . You'll know what i'm talking about when you read the book . At fist i was a little confused to what all of it meant and wondered why on earth would pick up something like that for the cover , but now its totally justified !

The story line : Honestly , when i started reading this book i was lost like a little puppy would be away from home !! I was like ' woooo ! What is going on in here ?? ' . Everything was super confusing and nothing made sense . But then a few chapters down , and * click * all the pieces of the story started forming the big picture . The concept of this book , like i mentioned earlier is very new . There are 4 groups/clan of people - The wilds , The cools , The hotbloods and The hollows . All these 4 groups dont gel in with each other and are at a brink of war , Enters Dari , the hybrid ( her mom's a wild and her dad's a cool ) girl who has been living without a soul for a very long time . Enters Lewis , the hot headed hotblood who cant take his eyes off Dari ,and feels drawn to her . I know a story is being formed in your head and you must be saying , " aye , cliche stuff , we know whats gonna happen " , but nah uh , thats the wrong answer because hotblood just is'nt your typical Romeo - Juliet stuff . This book is way much more than romance . It talks about these beings who are so different from anything we know .
What i really liked about the authors writing style was that she didnt waste too much time on giving away too many details . Even though she talks about a very new subject , she gives you enough details to make you understand the situation in hand . She doesnt go story telling ( thank god ) , she just tells them when they are necessary for you to understand what is going on in the plot at that time . Another point worth mentioning is that the story just does not revolve around Dari and Lewis . There are many other important and lovable characters in the book who seem very real . Uncle Satan , Dari's uncle for example was a very unique and exciting character . I found him to quite the guy who is protective at the same encouraging Dari to do things that she has'nt done before . One more lovable point about this book was " Surprises " .. And the author did manage to throw a lot of them . Especially , those around the ending of the book ! Oh my god , just magnificent .

On the whole , i was truly surprised by the goodness of this book . Totally unexpected , i really enjoyed reading .. I cant wait to read the sequel just to find out whats gonna happen to Dari and Lewis , because the ending was like , ' Whaaaaat ' !!!! Totally recommend it those who want to try out something different from the usualness of what we read all the time .
